An Early Retirement with Solar ☀️ 

For this couple, selling their larger home to downsize and relocate freed up equity and enabled an early retirement. 

The couple shared that an early retirement has allowed for more flexibility and less pressure, allowing more time to travel and spend time with family and friends, along with engaging in volunteer work. 

Their main priority was to be closer to their support network, which required a relocation.  

Through now being closer to their network, they shared the transition and adjustment to relocate has been easier.  

Solar. 

With research and planning, they decided to make adjustments to the property including renovations and installing solar to their new home.  

They weighed up the costs to install solar with the long term savings, and the numbers made sense for their situation.  

The orientation of the property helped in their decision making, with adequate access to light to utilise solar, as well as a reduced price to install, with a large group of residents all installing at the same time.

The couple shared that they are a fan of the solar app. where they can track and understand their energy usage.

Overall

The couple have shared that they’ve settled in well to their new location. Their move to downsize was the right move for them at the right time, being closer to their network and now having more freedom.
