For this couple, selling their larger home to downsize and relocate freed up equity and enabled an early retirement.

Through now being closer to their network, the transition and adjustment to relocate was made easier.

Solar. They weighed up the costs to install solar with the ongoing savings long term, and the numbers made sense for their situation. 

The orientation of the property itself helped in their decision making, with adequate access to light to utilise solar, as well as a reduced price to install, with a large group of residents all installing at the same time.
