Relocation

For this couple, relocating had been on the cards for a while.

Their motivations to move included wanting to have more space and feeling they could get “more bang for their buck”, moving from a city to a regional area.

To try out the change, they decided to rent first.

Rachel wanted to make sure logistically the area worked well, commuting to the city for her work and being able to remain connected to family and friends there.

After only about a week in, Rachel already felt like it was the right move. Her work was still easily accessible with an early train ride.

“I’d get the train at 6.50am and be at my desk by 8.30am."

“It was beautiful. I’d just listen to podcasts.”

Rachel

Rachel shared how commuting even from other parts of the city could take longer.

The time they spent renting also gave them the opportunity to narrow down which area within the region worked best for them.
